However, it also highlights again how the Italian has no issue owning the fact that he intends to remain the boss of his career. It’s nothing out of the ordinary in principle, and especially nothing extraordinary for a young player, even at the top, as it can take some time to build your ideal squad. But the World No.1 deciding to present himself at Wimbledon on the heels of THAT Roland-Garros final without a fitness trainer and, more importantly, during competition, without a physiotherapist, is raising all the tennis eyebrows.
After all, he was out there for over five hours on that last Sunday in Paris, demonstrating all the improvement made in his fitness condition. So why?
